King: How to get sound from computer onto tv while hooked up by HDMI?
I just hooked up my windows 7 computer to my lcd tv and i am wondering how to get the sound that is playing on my computer to play on my tv’s. I am planning on watching some shows that i will be playing on my computer on my tv and i would like to hear it on my tv’s speakers. Thanks for the help!! Also, i noticed when i played a video on the computer it occassionally skipped on the tv screen and wasnt very smooth. Any solutions?

What sound and video driver do you use, if you have it live nvidia you can tell the computer its not hooked up to a computer screen. And you need to change the audio settings, realtek is good, you’ll just have to fool around with the setting until it works.
Sounds like you are using HDMI that dose not transmit audio, a simple audio cable from your computer (Green plug) into the TV via a mini jack to stereo RCA dongle (purchase at radio shack) and a little set of RCA cables.
