What is the best software to prevent teenagers from watching pornography? I want him to still be able to access websites such as Facebook, Amazon, Ebay, Youtube, etc. but not allow him to view sites or pages with adult content. Please recommend a free one as well as one I can purchase. Dependability is the main concern.

Aw you’re no fun lol…there’s software on the net and sometimes provided by the isp..but seriously a teenager is going to get around them. You can try moving the computer to a different location in the house(?). But like I said a teen will get around..anyways let him/her explore —

Their is monitoring software on the other hand…then you could get the specific domains ip and block it..

Well in my opinion you shouldn’t really block those websites because the only time he will look at those is during masturbation which you can ask a doctor is really healthy and stress relieving. Oh and there isnt a software what you can do is make his profile on the computer a child profile and pick what websites he can look at.

Software not necessary. Just tweak the settings/filtering on your web browser, whatever that may be.

net nanny is one… IE has a built in filter that reads meta tags… but online proxies can get around most software… other than being in the room when he is on, there is no way to stop someone who really wants to see it… limewire will let someone d/l it with out ever going through a website… so… like i said… only way to stop it is to sit in there with him really… or jus instill good values into him and hope for the best… or make him feel real awkward and talk to him about it and look at some with him… he might not ever wanna see it again depending on his age lol

who cares if they look? They’re just gonna see it anyways especially if their teenagers. First talk to them and explain the “birds and the bees” and let them watch it. (but, i mean not every 10 seconds or don’t let them do it if your aware. Let them do it privately and discretely so they and you don’t feel embarrassed that you know that they’re doing it). Masturbation is good to release sexual tension (and trust me im 15, and its the only way i can wear jeans).

Lol, there is no “best software” kids these days are way more tech savvy and with sites like youtube with all the tutorials on how to bypass security, any purchased software is just a waste of $ $ . The only sure way to block those websites is unlink him from the internet (but of course that means no more fun =(.
