J L: Should I take geometry and algebra 2 at the same time?
I am in 9th grade and I take algebra 1 right now. Algebra 1 very easy for me and I want to take 2 math courses in 10th grade. I am planning to take Calculas in my senior year, but I am behind so I was wondering if it a good idea to take geometry and algebra 2 next year and the same time.

It depends on what schooling program you’re in. If you’re homeschooled with a certain program, like a virtual school, you can take both at once. If you’re behind, it would get you caught up. Plus, being in geometry at the same time as algebra 2 will help you because you might be stuck on something in geometry, and learn it in algebra 2! 🙂
I actually did that my sophomore year for the same reason.
It’s perfectly fine, especially if you’re good at math. There might be some trouble toward the end of Algebra II, because it goes back into stuff you should have learned at the end of geometry. But most teachers will review what you need to know before, because they don’t expect all students to remember. Basically, pay very close attention around that time, and you should be fine.
