I usually cannot wear shoes that my other friends wear, because it is not affordable, so I obviously feel quite left out. What are some shoes that are popular among male teenagers at the moment,

Conerse vans and the nikes are the coolest. What ive learned is that it is better to wear cheap unknown brands than air walks. Just dont wear air walks because they are notorious for being the uncool shoe and if you are worried about that kind of stuff then dont wait air walks.

So yeah etnies are also cool and relatively cheap. Dcs are for preteend. Vans and converse will always be somewhat in style but i think nikes are the coolest shoes on boys
