How many hours a week does the average teenager spend on the computer doing homework?

Melanie: How many hours a week does the average teenager spend on the computer doing homework?
I’m doing a research paper on teenagers and the internet, and i’ve found out the average teenager spends 30+ hours a week on the internet, and a third of that time is spent on facebook. I’m wondering how many hours they spend on school work.

Well I think most are supposed to be doing homework however end up on Facebook lol.

I spend around 5 hours every weekend on the internet, doing school work but while I’m doing the work I’m also on Facebook and downloading music.
Then on the week days I’m on the internet doing school work at least half an hour every night. Again it’s mixed with entertainment. I know a lot of my friends are the same.
But the thing is.. a lot of schools hand out hard copies of information so there kinda isn’t a need for internet in some subjects. We’re getting the answers handed to us, it’s up to the student whether they want to use the internet or study their books.
