I love science and was wondering If there is anything I can do to prepare myself for becoming a scientist.

Well, this depends on the type of science you want to do. For example, do you want to learn about biology, chemistry, etc. You can always buy microscopes or a magnifying glass to examine the world around you. I love science too and I want to become an biologist, so I stock up with specimens of dead insects.
