Mister Jackson: “Safely remove hardware” always on?
In my taskbar, the safely remove hardware icon is always there. But the only this it wants to include is the the cd drive. I’m sure that this is the original drive, so i can’t figure out why the computer recognizes it as a foreign device. Any help? Thanks much!

when you get this message,is your flash drive still plugged into the USB port?
sometimes you get this message when there is something plugged in internally like a DVD-ROM drive. it’s nothing to worry about. It depend on your motherboard which recognized as which. Just ignore it. If you accidentally remove the drive, you will need to reset your computer to get it back online.Answer by GroovyGorillaMan
You sure its not the HD? For some reason, SATA drives seem to always want to hang out in the “Safely remove hardware” task tray.
If it is indeed the CD Drive, is it possible that its connected with a cable that isnt IDE? Thatd be the only thing I could think of…
