This explains the basics:
There are a lot of other rules but you’ll learn them as you go (normally when you accidentally break one). Well I can’t know if you’ll like it but most people (who don’t have issues with contact sports) like it. So certainly try it out for a season or two. Hope you have fun.
Answer by COACHHi See the school coach and tell him how you feel about it and what he would recommend, and he will probably say come try for yourself,in the mean time increase your fitness level to show him your not all talk, because as an x coach the thing that annoyed me where time wasters even if they were in my squad, an personally i”d sooner have a team of thinkers than a team of brawn built robots, you know that the sport of rugby has given to the world rhode scholars , diplomats, and good role models……coachAnswer by tomtob1
Do not pass the ball forward
If you touch the ball and knock it forward it is a knock on and is either a penalty or scrum
No collapsing the scrum, 3 chances and it goes to a penalty
Do not spear tackle, this vcan lead to sending off or sin binning
Do not go around the side if the ball is being rucked, you must go through the ruck
No dragging down the maul, after a line out
If someone touches the ball before you when it goes out of play it must be a set lineout
The ref’s word is final and refer to the ref as sir
In the ruck if the ball is on the ground the scrum half must dig it out with his feet, before picking it up,
If you are tackled before you score a try and move and wriglle to get to the line, it is a double movement
there you go hope this helps
