How can I sell a car retail without owning a car lot?

Whoa D: How can I sell a car retail without owning a car lot?
I see all these adds and articles about wholesale dealers licenses. But then you can’t sell to anyone, only wholesale buyers and other car dealers. Is there a state where I can easily attain a car dealers license and sell cars from another state?

You don’t need a car lot or a license to sell a car.

Only to attend dealer only auctions. And if you cant find cars outside of dealer auctions, you may well pay too much at one.

I bought a truck out of the newspaper for $ 1350. Sold it on the street for $ 2800.

A year and 20,000 miles later, it sold for $ 3000 plus the buyer paid a buyers fee at a dealer only auction.

I know dealers who regularly buy 5+ cars a week out of the newspaper and sell them at dealer auctions.
