Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, whether it be simply spirituality, a religion, or a lack of either. My only gripe is when others insist they are the only ones who have all the answers and their way is the only way (no matter WHAT their beliefs are). I have no problem discussing/debating/sharing ideas with anyone else.Answer by Red Annie
I would rather spend my life believing in God and Jesus and die and be wrong than spend my life not believing and die and be wrong. Would you rather spend eternity in Heaven or Hell??Answer by Klingon Atheist

11. Depends what type of science. I think science is great and i answering alot of questions i had about religion.
12. Yes.
And what did i think of this question-
A bit long winded but if your curious then that’s great. It’s good to learn and understand other people’s opinions.
-I dont believe in organized religion bc of all the problems in the world that it has caused and it has historically (and in many ways currently) been used to demean minorities (women, blacks, homosexuals, etc…)
-I have a personal religion that involves faith in people and our abilities not in a god. I would consider myself somewhat of an atheist.
-I really think religion is doing good and bad to society it has given us hope yet has also oppressed and divided us. People in power have used religion to manipulate ohers.Answer by GODFOLLOWER

Do NOT get me wrong. I love Jesus. I love God. I believe in Jesus and God. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of my life, and always will be. I believe I’m goin to Heaven and can’t wait to be with Him. I am a Christian.
BUT
My faith is NOT religion. Christianity is a RELATIONSHIP with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was, is, and always will be Lord over everything. So in THAT context, I shall answer your questions:
Relationship?.?

Answer by Joe RavenwoodDivine inspired man-made creation to grow spiritually.
I am Wiccan.
No.
I would not say I am “for” religion. I would say I am for the choice to be religious (or spiritual).
Because it speaks to me and feels right to me.
As a teen (Christian)
Atheists are entitled to their beliefs just like any other faith-based belief.
I admire their commitment to their faith, but I do not like them meddling in the lives of others.
Unfortunately, organized dogmatic religion has hurt society by trying to enforce its own ideology. On the other hand, many wonderful charities exist because of those same religions.
Thought provoking.
I have been atheist, agnostic, Christian, pagan, Wiccan, and Taoist on my journey through life.
I embrace science fully. I’m a science nerd.
Absolutely. What people have to remember is that religion (ALL religion) is based off of mythology. The stories that inspired our religion(s) may or may not be completely true. This does not matter. What is important is the principles we learn from them.
I am agnostic, being atheist is too final but I dont believe any mainstream religion has got it right. If I offend anyone I am deeply sorry, it is not my intention. These are simply my own views as the question asked is that of a subjective one.
Of the mainstream religions the best would probably be buddist. I have never heard of a buddist zelot as the two ideals are diametrically opposed. It seems too much energy for the universe to keep flip flopping you from body to body when you die, further their being no god in buddist who decides who is being promoted and who is being punished?
Now for the others. Islam is Christianity++ (programmer joke) take christianity and slap in a mohammed and you have Islam. Mohammed was a man so unstable he had sex with the corpse of a woman “to keep her soul from escaping”. Islam also asks its followers to be the instrument in which Alah punishes his enemies and non believers. To agressive and dictated by a madman… Forget Islam
Church of England formed by frustrated King Henry VIII when he wished to devorce his current queen for a lady in waiting. Not permitted by the Holy Roman Catholic church at the time he simply formed his own church. Forced his subjects to “believe” under pain of death. Still didnt want to go to hell and was unsure of his plan of action had his queen beheaded just in case anyway (so in gods eyes he was no longer bound to her). People still follow this faith too, no thankyou.
Mormons (Latterday Saint mob) Cathlotisism# (ongoing programmer joke). Take your catholic faith add a magic golden page book handed to only one man on earth who has ever “seen” said book, have it “transcribed” with the magic book mysteriously dissapearing. And I quote Harry 2-17 (Potter did enter the chamber of secrets where he did meet a giant serpent) about as believable to me.
Now the one many are built on Cathlotisism. Every atheist states the whole god made this and that in blah blah days without a sun… I will give that tired argument only a glancing look, I have more difficult questions to resolve first.
God is all powerful, god is all knowing and god is all good.
Why did an all knowing all powerful being create us? we create to get something done or to learn something but if you are all knowing what is there to learn. If everything plays by YOUR rules what can you possibly get out of it?
Secondly Satan was gods first angel, right hand man to the throne however his ideals were not good. An artist poors a little of themselves in everything they create, they have to its not optional. They have no other references other then themselves with which to draw creative knowledge. Logicially speaking then Satan is a part of God. He created him, it has to be part of him. Further being an all KNOWING being he had to know what Satan would do when he was created again leading logic to believe god is evil. If we accept that we were created to LEARN something and God ISNT all knowing then he should at least be able to prevent evil things from happening otherwise he is also either not all powerful or not all good. If this logic follows then Satan and indeed anyone evil HAS to have diminished responsibility in Gods eyes as it was HIS ORIGINAL mistakes that caused it.
Ignoring that speal another thing worries me. “THOU SHALT NOT WORSHIP FALSE IDOLS” and “THOU SHALT NOT HAVE ANY OTHER GODS BUT ME” whats the big deal feeling a little self concious arent we big fella? How can God be so insecure about himself? What does he care if ALONG SIDE worshiping him we make ourselves look rediculous by worshiping a goat? It shouldnt deminish him any.
I cannot believe in a weak, evil, mentally self consious God, creator of the universe master of all I survey.
I cannot say much about Wicca. Being agnostic my mind is open to the idea of elemental forces of creation and destruction.
Indeed there is much science cannot describe and my presence here indicates there is SOME form of creative force in the universe. To deny that is to deny my own existance which makes less sense then the logic above I have brought forward to you.
There is some food for thought, what you think of my answer?
P.S I left many questions out… I think this answer is becomming a novel and I would have to charge you should that become the case… :-p
