You have to give them something. You can pay by credit card also. I think the seller has to accept credit cards though. I have always paid by credit card and never had a problem.Paypal does not send you a credit card.
Yes, you have to provide yer banking details and/or yer credit card details, whichever way you’re comfortable with, paying for yer purchases. PayPal would charge about 5% of the transaction if you use credit card payment, but doesn’t charge for bank account transfer (provided yer transacting from a US bank account).
If you do not live in the US and do not hold a US bank account, its best to use credit card directly by ebay, instead of PAYPAL, but some sites insist they transact only through PAYPAL and would not accept credit card. Only then should you go for PAYPAL.
You have to click on ADD FUNDS or ADD DETAILS in yer settings, and enter yer credit card details. And that’s it. Next time you wanna buy something from ebay, just click pay with paypal and it will automatically direct you to yer paypal account, where you can click PAY. The amount will be charged from yer credit card, without you having to actually type in yer credit card number (better security) and will appear on yer credit card statement like any other credit card purchase. Same goes for an online bank transfer payment.
Answer by RishiThe way PayPal works is by transferring money either by your checking/savings bank accont or by debit/credit cards, you can send and receive money by either of these methods.
So yes, if you want to buy something from eBay and if you want to use PayPal then you have to give them your bank account number and routing number, or you can add a debit card or a credit card.
You have all of those options to send a payment, I’d honestly suggest you to pay everything with your credit card, because the payment to the seller is instant, and if in case of a fraud you can do chargeback and get your money back.
PayPal is very safe, but looking at the fact that it has more than 155 million accounts it’s potentially attacked by phishing scams and a lot of fraud, you can avoid this by not opening unknown e-mails from them, using a firewall and of course avoiding fraud from eBay by looking at the seller’s feedback.
And no, they don’t send you a credit card, only a debit card if requested.
