Kissing is bonding, I’ve had Parakeet kissing and mating once, and never lay eggs as well… they will lay eggs if all conditons are right and it’s the right time and if they are old enough. If there’s ample food, water, vitamins and a comfortable nest.
My parakeets have done this before as well, and the only way to try and get them to breed is to make sure they have an adequate diet, mainly pellet with some seed, fresh veggies, fruit, hard -boiled eggs in the shell(cut in half),some millet once in a while and some oats in their food as well as rice and noodles, too. They should also be warm where they are,and not so easily disturbed, but still part of the household, too.Good Luck! This is providing you know they are male and female, boys have a blue cere, girls don’t.Sometimes they don’t care what sex the other is,they just like to care for each other.Answer by Rose
Give them fresh broccoli, spinach, scrambled eggs and uncooked Quaker Old Fashioned Oats. You’ll have eggs soon!
