Always wear underwear. It’s safer and sanitary.
If you don’t want a panty line, invest in a thong. ALWAYS wear underwear though.Answer by Say What Thou Wilt

I don’t know it depends what kind of shorts you’re talking about. Doctors say it’s better for women not to wear underwear to bed though, so I don’t know why not wearing them would be unsanitary, the more airflow around the vagina the better.Answer by Reva P
You should either wear cotton panties or not wear panties at all. But if you’re wearing anything skintight (and it’s almost certainly not a cloth that can breath), USE COTTON PANTIES. Who cares about seeing or not seeing a panty line? It’s about YOUR health.Answer by Dr.Lolo

You can try not wearing spandex/lycra clothing when you go to the gym. Change the clothing should help. It is personally up to you, do you feel comfortable not wearing them? You can also try a thong, that should take away the panty line.
Or it may not matter, most people don’t really consider it. I work out in what ever I am comfortable in. I dance, and I always wear them because that is my preferance…do what you feel comfortable in.

I used to work as a trainer at the Holiday health Spa (now called Baley’s) and something that I noticed, was that about half the women never wore panties under their outfits. I once trained a female gynecologist, and I noticed that she wasn’t wearing any underwear. I’m always been the kind that if I have a question, I ask it. So I asked her to comment about it.
She told me that she never wore underwear except during her period. And that she recommended girls who do wear them, to wear cotton panties cause it carries the moisture away from the vagina. But that her opinion, it was healthier to not wear any underwear, in particular while exercising or on very hot days. It let’s the vagina “breath” and if you are wearing short made of cotton, it helps carry moisture away as well. So you get double the benefit.
I asked her a few more questions and she told me about some patients of hers that kept suffering from recurring yeast infections. The two girls were twin sisters. Both had visited her for recurring yeast infections. She suggested to not let some underwear for a while. One of the girls followed her instructions and the other one didn’t. The one that stopped wearing underwear, had one more recurrence of the infection and then they stopped. The other girl, kept visiting for quite a while until she decided to stop wearing them as well.
She was a big believer that the vagina was not meant to be covered. At least thast not the way nature intended it to be.
Another day I asked another client, and she told me that she didn’t wear them because of the panty lines and because panties don’t stay in place and move up giving here butt wedgies. She felt more comfortable with out them.
I also know for a fact, that cyclist women don’t wear panties under their cycling shorts. I read it in a cycling magazine and I had a chance to ask a girls that I was dating who was into cycling. She told me that they don’t wear panties with those shorts. I think they do it because it lets “it‘ “breath” and because those shorts have special absorbent panels in the crotch to absorb moisture.
But don’t go by what other people tell you. Some will tell you that it’s better, some will tell you that it’s not. The reason is that they are talking about their own personal preferences. You need to make your own mind. Try going without any and see how you feel. Only then, will you be able to make up your own mind.
