i’ve looked at different things and been tempted before. i think a good rule of thumb is if they’re asking you for any money for their services or information it’s probably a scam!
If you have to pay them up front, it’s a scam.
Think about it, when have you ever had to pay a company for the privledge of a job interview?
Answer by derek48316they are ALL scams unless you are in a live in wherehouse instead of a have way house and you turning you home into a store or mechine shop.Answer by Roger L
Theres no such thing as getting something 4 free. NOTHING IN THIS LIFE IS 4 FREE. rather try youre own ventures, cause if everyone was so succesfull why do they need uAnswer by Tim
The ONLY way to get a legit work at home job is to work for (and excell) with a company long enough that they let you start working at home. Everything else is bunk.Answer by Brian G
Some guidelines:
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
If they want a “small” payment for the opportunity to make big money for only a few hours a week, beware.
If they are offering the opportunity because there is just too much work for them to do by themselves, watch out.
If they tell you there are no other costs involved, there’s a good chance it’s not real.

It seems you got alot of good answers.
Rule of thumb, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is applies here.
We spent 2 years searching for ways to make money from home after a broken back. Seen some real trash in that 2 years, scams are a dime a dozen.
What i can say worked for me:
1st we started selling on ebay…that was ok for a little bit, but we wanted more. We had to find a good steady dropshipper that could be counted on. Well that was a trick and a half, we went through a few but none were real wholesale, and it was hard to make any profit.
So in Jan 2007 we took the plunge, we opened our own wholesale dropshipping business website. We have our mark-up set very low, with the thought in mind that “we don’t want to make 20.00 from one person, but that we want to make 1.00 from every person”
I will say it is working, we now have 7 stores under us and we supply about 40 ebay sellers and about 4 websites with all their merchandise.
We give anyone the opportunity to join us, if they just want to sell our items there is no fees for setup or membership. We ship worldwide on lots of items, we carry over 3900 items at this time.
If you want a store like ours and you set your own mark-up we do that as well, you read about this on our website under #1 business opportunity.
Best of luck to you!!!

I work at home, but it was no easy task. I see scams on a daily basis.
A HUGE forum of people who work from home is https://www.wahm.com/forum/
This is filled with people who work from home, ask a question, or request feedback on a company, they’ll tell you straight up whether it’s legit or not.
For the poster who said there’s no such thing as work at home, they’re wrong. I know of 5 companies that hire people from home. If you ever call the number for ShopNBC to purchase something, you’re talking to someone that works at home. If you call the UHaul customer service line, it’s someone that works from home. 1800Flowers also has people that work at home. They hire a outside company instead of paying for the costs themselves. You can find all that stuff at that forum. Best part it’s free, no scams. They can help you find what you’re looking for and offer you support as well.
Even better, NOT A SINGLE STUPID SURVEY! No cashcrate crap that some ppl on here keep advertising to promote themselves, nothing.
