who thinks the republicans are secretly pushing for obama because they think hillary will be a force to reckon with?

i was speaking with someone to day and they think if obama get’s the nomination it will be much easier to tear him down as oppose to hillary…

what do you think??
it’s interesting to hear different point of view, the person i was speaking with thinks hillary is too smart and the republicans are scared of that!!! this person felt quite strong on what they were saying.

Conservative commentators on CNN keep saying Hillary will energize the republican base. And they’re right. She and her husband have been hated for 16 years. Meanwhile, Obama is the likeable one. Republicans would come out in droves to vote against Hillary.

As I Conservative I couldn’t disagree more. I believe that if Obama gets the nomination he will be our next president, however I think there is no chance Hillary could ever win.

I think it’s the other way around. They know that there are alot of independents who will NEVER vote for Hillary. They also know that some of the “Obamicans” won’t vote for Hillary. Even though there are some people who will never vote for a black man, for whatever reasons there might be, Obama has “awaken” a new voting block. I don’t believe Republicans have the base to combat that.

Absolutely, the republicans have been quiet about Obama and throwing all their dirty politics at Hillary because they know Obama is full of empty catch phrases without anything to back them up with (as in real issues and ideas). Meanwhile, Hillary is intelligent, has strong opinions and backs up all her statements with facts and actual plans of action and proposals. They are intimidated by her strength and their insecurity seeps with each attack. They laugh at the idea of going up against Obama, because they know that he has no chance of winning a National election.

drjander, I realize I did not anwer your question directly. Yes, I think the Republicans are using Obama to knock Hillary out of the race. They’re being really quiet & laid back about Obama at this point. Once Obama has the Demo nomination, we will see the dirt fly. I would have voted for Hillary, but I will not get the chance. If Obama actually wins the presidency, the US is in worse trouble than it’s in now. Obama’s real name really is Barack Hussein Obama. He has been endorsed by Cornell West (Black radical Marxist professor), Louis Farrakhan (sp?) head of “Nation of Islam,” and The New Black Panthers. One of his majors in college focused on Islam. One thing you may not be aware of: the far Left is allied with Radical Islam. Obama’s family in Kenya are ALL muslims. Farrakhan has been involved in Obama’s political activities. The “church” Obama belongs to is Afro-centric, and strange. There are pages & pages of info on Obama. Take a close look at this guy. It’s NOT all urban legends. Obama went to a muslim & a Catholic school in Indonesia, he was listed as a “Muslim” at both schools. Both his father & stepfather were Muslim. He’s a Marxist in outlook. All of these people who think Obama’s the Messiah who will save the US are delusional. Obama’s US will be a nightmare.

That is not true. Obama is actually stronger than hillary. Hillary flip flops a lot and thats why i don’t like her.

The main reason i voted for Obama is because he has been anti-war throughout. Hillary was pro-war first, then anti-war later.

She should have apologized for the iraq war vote like John Edwards. But the fact that she failed to apologize shows her arrogance and thats why i didn’t vote for her in primary.

Clearly, Rush, Hannity, Medved, Levin etc. all the major conservative talking heads are rooting for Obama. In the general election, Hillary Clinton would garner more women vote, even pulling some republican women, as well as the hispanic vote. They are pumping Obama up because they know they’re is absolutely nothing to him.

Hillary would be easier to beat because she has hidden baggage, Obama let all of his stuff out through books so the repubs can’t bring out anything that the public already knows. Hillary flips sides when the side is popular to the public examples: the war, and healthcare.

definitley backwards people like obama more. the only clinton i can tolorate in office is bill and i dont want him back. either way the republicans lead is very old and lets face it its a popularity contest and right now obama is more liked so it would be smarter for the republicans to back hillary but i dont see them taking her down either
