The main reason he won was that people voted for him because they wanted someone different than Bush and people assumed that McCain was the same as Bush.

I think his color did make a difference as well as a few other things.

It sort of boils down to;

Novelty of voting for the first Black president
He was not Bush
McCain was Bush
The medias unwillingness or inability to say anything bad about him
(just think what would have happened if half the effort the media went through to discredit Joe the plumber was put into Obamas past)
His moving and articulate speech’s.

All of which will not be factors in the next election

Your question seems to be proving how uneducated people can be. Every President has been elected, at least partially based on the color of their skin. Don’t you think if a black (or bi-racial) man ran for office in the 1950’s he’d have been defeated mostly because of his skin color?

Everyone voted for him because he tells them what they want to here but he never does anything about anything, it is partly because of his skin color, also Americans want change, but that’s stupid because there is going to be change but its going to be bad. Obama is a money waster, for example; America is in huge debt and Obama tried getting the Olympics to come to America, fortunately we were like the first ones to fall off the list but if not it would have been billions of dollars.
