skyblueyou: How do you negotiate selling a house after they accepted the offer?
I am selling a house “AS IS” for a price that’s very low. They house shopper accepted the offer. Then they had two inspections and are coming back accepting us to reduce the price for a crazy amount of money because there are problems with the house. But we were selling the house “AS IS!” How the heck do I work with these people? Some of their demand ARE RIDICULOUS! Is this part of the game? I guess the term “as is” doesn’t amount to anything in Real Estate.

If they accepted the offer pending an inspection, then either you go back to negotiating a new price, or you remain firm with your “as is” stance. If you’re not willing to go any lower in price, then simply tell them that. They can either accept or walk away.
Every thing is negotiable. You can hold fast to your price but you could also blow the dealAnswer by Judy
If there’s a lot wrong, they aren’t going to be able to get a mortgage anyway if they need one and aren’t paying cash.Answer by Sal*UK
as is means nothing.
If they are using a mortgage company to pay for the property, then the mortgage company decides how much the property is worth and if its worth the price they are paying (e.i. the price you are offering). This can happen time and time again when you find a buyer.

Was the contract contingent on the inspection? If not, you don’t have anything to worry about.
If it was contingent on the inspection, just have your agent tell them the house was sold as is and the price reflected that. Then it’s up to the buyer to either accept that or walk away.
Or you could give them a little amount to make them happy.
If you have to resell the property, I would do a disclosure up front. And if there was an inspection done, it would cover items THAT WERE NOT on the disclosure.
