JeNicK: needing math help. Can you Look?
1) train a and train b are traveling in the same direction. Train a is going 100 mph and train b is going 104 mph. If train a passes the station at 11:45 am and train b passes it at 11:45 what time will train b catch up with train a?
2)What is the slope if there is one… x= -2
3)solve by elimination:
3x+4y=4
6x+8y=8
4) -6x > 1/13
5) -13 < 4x-8<-7 thanks for any help 🙂 i just cant seem to learn how to do all these. ive always had problems with fractions and im scared that im going to fail my college algebra and take more time getting my psychology degree. Answers and Views:

1),,,,,,,,ummmmmmmmm the trains crash?
2) If the linear equation is x= -2, then your slope is undefined, as it is simply a vertical line crossing the x axis at the point (-2, 0)
3) It has to be elimination? Why can’t you solve by substitution?
4) Inequalities are the same as equations. To solve this one, you would divide both sides by (-6) (because you are dividing by a negative the greater than sign switches to a less than sign). You know have:
x < (1/13)/-6. Make your life a heck of a lot easier by turning your division problem into a multiplication problem (remember: keep, change, flip). (1/13) stays the same. Change the division sign to a multiplication sign. Flip the (-6) to it's reciprocal which is (1/-6). you know have x < (1/13) (1/-6). Multiply your fractions and you have (1/-78). Your final answer is x<1/-78
5) I honestly have no idea
