: What fields of maths should I study to prepare for engineering?
Mechanical engineering or mechatronic engineering, that is. I wasn’t s*** hot at maths in high school (although I did find physics and chemistry pretty simple) and now I’m doing a foundation course for uni this year with some extra tuition thrown in, and I wondered what fields of maths I should focus on. I know calculus is essential, but as for anything else? I have no idea. So it’d be really great if you could fill me in, I’m determined to become an engineer.
