Shrooms: myspace!?!?
Everyone at my highschool has a myspace page!….But i’ve never seen the point of having one. Is having a myspace page really worth time out of my life?

if you want to find friends you havent seen for a long time or just want to do something different then you should get a myspace page. i have one and of course im on mine everyday.

Its an extremely easy way to make plans with other people for example if you want to throw a party just post a bulletin and everyone can see that your throwing a party here and at this time rather then needing to tell every single person individually. Plus its a good way to further get to know people you really dont talk to.

I really dont see the point of having a myspace first because if you are being “safe” and only adding people you know, then why bother you see them at school, just a waste of time to me.

Myspace is a good way to connect with people and waste time. I created one a couple years ago and didn’t pay much attention to it and than once it became big, I connected with a lot of people that I have not seen in a long time. And it gives you a chance to be creative by making your own page. Go for it if you don’t like it cancel.

Its good to keep in touch with friends who live abroad or a fair distance away, its good for checking new bands as well.

I really didn’t want one for the longest time, but I found a friend on reunion.com and she told me everyone was on myspace. So I got a myspace account and found people from school, etc. that I had not seen or heard from in years. And, reunion.com and other sites similar get costly. Myspace is fun and can become addictive, but you do have an option of making your account closed/hidden so only friends can view what you have on your page.

it’s just to keep in touch with old friends or family.. what ever. some ppl just get myspace because they wanna meet new ppl and try getting in to long distace relation ship. but anyway, myspace is school, it’s like, you can decorate your page and show a little bit of your personality.

sometimes yes and sometimes no it depends if you have free time on your hands and or what your using your page for some people find myspace to be a easier way to get in contact with there friends, and it is also a good way to promote your band, post movies etc. i have on my self and its very useful when i need to get ahold of someone

It’s a nice networking tool. If you decide to make one, make sure you put it on private. I am in charge of hiring with the company I work for and the first thing I do is check for a myspace page… You can usually tell if a person is involved in underage drinking or drugs and you can see what kind of people they hang out with. They are a deciding factor for me a lot of the time.

I am well beyond school years, recently my 24yr old daughter made me a page on myspace. I at first thought “what’s the point”, but,she did it because I no longer live where I grew up and lost touch with a lot of friends, so now, I have heard from them because they found me on myspace.

I am 49 and I even have a myspace page. This is the way I Look at it….when I am using yahoo and similar sites I am pretty much unknown, I am interacting with people that I do not know, and it is cool for playing euchre, pool, answers website and such. My myspace page is set up for my personal friends and family to interact. I have photos and music that I love and share with them. It is free and a fun thing to create, and easy to set up, where is the harm?

I’ve been out of high school for over fifteen years and MySpace has reconnected me with a lot of people I use to know.
Some people get addicted to MySpace, but if you can control that it’s not a bad thing to have.

If it’s not worth it to you then don’t do it. I have one, but it’s mostly for keeping track of my favorite people in entertainment (mma fighters, tv personalities, etc). It’s not as big of a deal as people try to make it out to be.

do you like doing it? or do you feel liek tis a waste of time? its entirely a personal preference. is a social networking site, thats all really. i dont because i just dont feel like making one, i have other things to do, by that i dont mean to demean anyone, its jsut that way for me personally. but i do have a facebook apg ei check once a week or so to keep in touch with classmates.
