Megan: My computer keeps saying “found new hardware” on start up?
At least a year ago, my brother plugged in a wireless mouse into my computer without installing any software, just to see if it would work on it’s own. It did not work, now every time we restart the computer, it brings up an instillation wizard that says “found new hardware”. Is there anyway to turn this off? Even when we click the “check this time only for install software”, it still asks the next time that it’s found the hardware on restart. Any tips on getting rid of it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes check your device manager, just press control Alt and delete, then you can disable it from there! Good luck!…Answer by byteofk
It shouldn’t be trying to install the hardware if it’s not even connected.
Go to the Device Manager by holding down the Windows key and hitting the Pause|Break key to access the Device Manager (via Hardware possibly, depending on your OS).
Look for items with little yellow circles or anything in the Other Devices category. Then right click and disable whatever is causing the trouble, or having discovered it was something plugged in that you didn’t want, remove that instead.
