Oh back to the bike, start slow and get a 250cc bike. If the beginner bike is too powerful you’ll be intimidated by your own bike.
You might be able to handle a 500cc cruiser. Take a look at Kawasaki 500 LTD. That was my third bike (and my favorite). It has very low seat for smaller rider. And the gearing is not so radical that it will over power you.
And it has belt drive for low maintenance.
Good Luck…
Answer by EmmettGet a kawasaki Ninja 250r great looking bike, and perfect for beginersAnswer by omahastylin16
for a woman your size the ninja 250 is perfect. its smaller and more comfortable to ride than a 600 but will still smoke most of the cars on the road when you want it toAnswer by njmotorcop
600 is way too big for a beginner, too heavy, too powerful. Take a beginning rider class from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation or a similar group. You’ll learn on 125 or 250s.
Then go to a bike show. www.motorcycleshows.com
There are other shows but these are the biggest. Try them all on for size and see what you like. My wife is 5’0 and we found lots of small (under 450cc) bikes and 2 midsize bikes that fit her well. After getting some experience with smaller bikes, she bought a Suzuki 800.
All it takes to ride bigger bikes is skill and that comes from training and practice. I once saw a lady about your size in the motor officer class at the police academy. She was easily the best in her class, better than many of the instructors, throwing an 850 pound Harley around like it was a toy. It was almost like she was dancing with the thing.
Answer by Vincent CNinja 250. But you being told you couldn’t handle a 600 is like telling a baby they’ll never run. You can’t be stupid on a bike no matter what size bike you get. My friend who is the same weight as you but 3 inches taller has a GSXR 600 she had lowered for her height, she rides with me through the mountains but she does it at her own pace. 600 is a good learning bike, Ninja 250 or 500 is better.
