Format the cell where the date typed/entered:

right-click – format cell

select category – CUSTOM

you can select formats from the list or you can make your own
[type]

i.e.
ss:mm:hh 55:14:09 = 9 oclock 14 min. 55 sec.

I don’t know if you are referring to:
12-Hour Format 04:00
24-Hour Format 18:00
Military Format 0090H

Short Time
Medium Time
Long Time
