If you are asking about the sims 2 then you have to buy the wedding arch and place it on your lot. Then when your fiancee is on the lot, click on the wedding arch, then select ‘get married’ (or something similar – sorry it’s been a long time since I’ve played). The female will dress in the wedding gown, the male will dress in a tux, and a preacher will appear. You might have to make your sim walk to the arch for the ceremony to start.
Now if you just want to make a custom outfit work for the formal outfit go to body shop and select customize outfit (or something similar – again its been a long time. Could be something like ‘skins’ instead) Then select the outfit in question and make sure it is placed in the formal category. You can choose as many categories as you want the outfit to be in. For example the outfit in question can be placed in everyday, formal, swimsuit, etc. Make sure you import your changes or they won’t show up in the game.
One final note, if the outfit in question is custom you must have the proper expansion pack for it to work in game. If you downloaded it from modthesims2 or elsewhere, go back to the site and read what requirements are necessary for it to work. You could need CEP or some other patch.
You need to use a cheat.
1. Type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
2. Hit the shift key and click your Sim at the same time. It may take a few tries to get the menus.
3. Choose Spawn from the menus that come up, and choose Tom’s Clothing Tester (it’s something like that)
4. Hit the one above “force redress” I can’t think of exactly what it’s called now, sorry!
5. Choose Formal clothing, and see which wedding dresses show you’re Sim is pregnant. Not all of them will.
6. Choose that dress, repeat step 2, and choose “Force Redress”
