Take Our Country Back: Would legalizing more gambling in the USA be a good new source of revenue for the federal government?
There is such a huge black market for sports gambling especially including off-shore accounts/websites. Would legalizing gambling stop the incentive or would high tax rates continue such an incentive? Would it contribute to the moral decay of the USA?

Perhaps, but is it ethical? The poor get poorer, spending their welfare checks at slot machines. All states should GET out of this Lottery business, NOW.
We just need to cut government 50% state and federal that should take care of it.

Answer by robot_hooker5The best source of revenue is to lower taxes, which puts more money back into the hands of the people (who it belongs to) and lets them turn around and invest it, thereby creating more jobs which, in turn, pay taxes.
This has been proven by history, but since liberals rewrite history anew every morning, they refuse to accept it.
Answer by coffee.taylorI don’t know if legalizing it would help but I do know that people that want to gamble is going to gamble wheather it is legal or not. I live in a state where this is a big issue and I think that our governor should let the people decide but he won’t, he has made himself our Lord and Master. So I will continue to take my money to the next state over which is about fifteen miles from me. My governor is an idiot!Answer by robert c
Stock market gambling is already legal and considered respectable.Answer by cupcake_dealer
The very fact that gambling, drugs, etc. are under the government’s control suggests that we do not trust the majority to make good choices. How does it get bleaker than that? I don’t know when it became acceptable for the government to make all of our choices for us, but it’s really amazing that people can even buy knives at this point.
I think freeing up that market (and others) would give our economy a needed boost. I don’t know if incentives would change, but regardless, I don’t think it’s the government’s job to play mommy and daddy.
Answer by AndreaTexas is voting on that right now. They want to allow casino’s in less populated areas. I used to live in Reno, it was a nice place to live. Great schools
