Cheers: Is gambling the dumbest activity that someone can participate in?
I keep hearing about the billions the government rakes in from gambling. Are people that stupid and delusional that they actually think winning is ever a component of gambling? If you win a little you go back another time to lose a lot.

No not necessarily- some people always play a little bit and do it for fun. You have to give your self a spending limit!

it would be dumb if your addicted to it and it is affecting your life in a detrimental fashion I suppose, most people know their limit, if controlled, it is a fun thing to do, and yes it does contribute to the tax base but the government is also receives tax money from the cigarette industry and the liquor industry and these things also contribute to addiction, so yes there are a lot of stupid things in this world and it seems that the Gov has it’s hand in all kinds of addictions especially if there is money to be made

if a dumb person participates in gambling, then it’s the dumbest idea. If you can manage your gambling activity, then there’s no problem with that. it’s not a dumb activity, dumb are those people who don’t know how to manage their money.

Anyway, sports betting is much better than casino games. you will have more chance of winning. You just have to choose the right team.
