How to get my laptop picture and sound to work on tv?

bob: How can i get my laptop picture and sound to work on my tv?
I have a cable for my lenovo laptop its a blue green and red one (rca i think) and it plugs into my laptop into the video port or whatever it is called. When i plug this in and plug it in my tv i get no picture on my tv. Do i have to put my laptop into a certain mode so i can get my laptop’s picture on the tv?

You would have to put your TV in whatever mode you are putting the RCA cords into (e.g., video 1, video 2, Aux, etc.)

You shouldn’t have to change any settings on the computer, unless you wanted to.

Typically you can make the two screens view the same thing (i.e. one desktop) or you can make them seperate (i.e. two side-by-side desktops) where you could click on and drag a window from your computer screen to the tv screen.
