this is the cheapest best option that adds style if you ask me, you can get pure gamer laptops but they are stupid prices. this has 3gb ram- just google it to see the specs!
hope this helps your friend x
Answer by [email protected]Serious gaming? Well, then I’m afraid a laptop ios a poor choice. Suggest she build a desktop and buy a cheap EEPC subnotebook for on-the-go use and very light games ActionCube.
If she must buy a laptop, tell her to buy a laptop with nothing less than an 8400GS, and try to get an 8600gs or 8600gt if she can afford it. Laptop graphics chips usually aren’t upgradable , and a slow one will make any therwise fast computer utterly worthless in the latest crop of games. Also, make sure she understands that even an 8600GT mobile isn’t very good by desktop standards, and games like Second Life and WoW may not hit 60FPS consistently with most graphics sliders at full or high settings.
Answer by Ben865She should get the MacBook which is a type of mac computer. Go to apple.com and type in MacBook. It can take photos and it has itunes and iMovie HD were you can create videos. And by the way is this a trick question.Answer by cryonme08

Answer by ghazal_ri think she should either go 4 a macbook pro or a macbook air!!!!theyre both fine but depends on howmuch she cares abt appearance also?!!!Answer by Mark L
For gaming you definitely need top of the line memory 3Gb – 4GB memory. Also a top of the line graphics card for the gaming and the videos.
Consider HP, Lenovos if you like PCs or the macbook pro 17″ with upgraded memory.

Answer by Ericson MFor Vista, look at the MS requirements…and double it at least and make sure it’s certified. Triple if you can afford…then Vista should rock your socks. If you learn how to use it, Vista features and technology blows XP away…when it works. 😉 You want it to last so get 64-bit Vista Home Premium or Ultimate. It’s mega-fast with 64-bit apps as well as lets you upgrade > 4GB RAM.
But if you have old programs, they might not work (esp. with 64-bit version). Google “Vista compatibility list”. Knowing a bit about computers helps getting the old problematic ones to work (Internet has a lot of solutions that smart people share).
Ultimate is the best but if you don’t think you need anything that fancy, Home Premium is good too. Get a good video card if you want Aero graphics (at least 256MB 128-bit in the newer cards). Better if you can afford.
Recent release of Service Pack 1 made things better and more compatible with hardware. Unfortunately, Microsoft marketing made people think it will work with old computers but it’s very risky so that’s why there are so many problems. It’s too far ahead in technology and requires new hardware and too many manufacturers sell cheap computers that don’t run Vista good.
Vista uses extra RAM to store commonly used files in a new activity known as “disk caching”. The computer determines which files will be accessed most and copies it to RAM (where it is much faster than accessing your hard disk). This includes components of the programs you use on a regular basis. When you need more RAM for programs you launch, etc. the computer purges the “least likely used” files from RAM to make room for the new program. That’s why if you look at the performance monitor, Vista always has near zero “free” RAM. So in theory, the more RAM (for disk cache) you have, the faster your computer will operate. This can also be done to a lesser effect with a USB flash drive with a technology called ReadyBoost.
Vista Home Premium and Ultimate has Media Center, where with a TV card/USB adapter (if not integrated) of the type that fits your TV, acts similar to an advanced TiVo. You can play your videos, schedule recordings, etc. As an added bonus, you can get a wireless keyboard / mouse or gyro-mouse and it will be sort of like remote control.
Vista supports touch-screens and voice recognition if you’re into note-taking and dictation. A good program to use with this is OneNote, which is included in some Office editions.
