The Torah is the story of how Judaism started. It starts with the creation story — but very quickly moves onto Abraham, then comes the story of Moses & Eygpt, then getting Torah on Mt. Sinai.
For us in Judaism, the Torah makes sense as our sacred scriptures, because it’s the story of the spiritual coming of age of us. We also read it a little differently than Christianity as a result. We are less literal about it because we already know it’s relationship to us, & instead are looking for different levels of meanings through out by analyzing everything.
So if you pick a copy of the Tanach (the Jewish book) or the Torah, you can read for yourself… It’s a good story even if you dont’ believe a word of it. An online source:
