Mimi: Job “interview” was told to dress comfortably?
So, Im going in to this new place who is interested in hiring me, it’s like a coffee shop/bakery/breakfest place. Anyways they want me to work for them for a bit, i guess for training and seeing how well I do, and then see if they want to hire me.
They told me to dress comfortably, i asked about jeans and he just repeated “well comfortably, thats all” so I have no idea what to wear
I dont have a lot of options, since jeans are my preferred since my weight loss, I have pants that feel like wind breakers that are one size too big for me that I used for a different job that i had to wear long johns under, but they make me look huge.
Will Jeans be okay? If not, what should i wear if i have enough time to stop at walmart or something to pick up a new pair of pants?
And what kind of shirt? Colors?
Thanks

Wear black pants and a black top or a white or pink blouse. Wear flat shoes. Good luck.
I would go with some khaki’s. Jeans are a little too comfortable for an interview. Wear a conservative shirt. No tanks or t-shirts. And no flip flops please. Don’t wear anything to bright or with a loud print on it.Answer by James K
I’d never wear jeans to an interview..
Always dress one step better then the job you are applying for..
Answer by russkyxLight colored shirt (avoid shirt with confusing patterns or stupid written shirt) and dark pants (better not tight jeans or tight pants).
