Job interview attire?

Alright, I know “You SHOULD NEVER wear jeans to a job interview”. Despite having this knowledge I wore jeans, and a dressy top and boots to an interview at a restaurant (not a burger joint, but not fancy) and got the job on the spot. I have a job interview Thursday and can’t figure out what to wear! I was thinking dark wash jeans, boots, shirt and jacket or sweater. I don’t really have anything to wear other than jeans, unless I wear black pants that I worked in at the restaurant, they’re too big. Oh, and I can’t wear skirts, I have tattoos. So, my questions is, dark jeans? Yay or Nay? It’s at a store, not a fashion store, not walmart, not Coach, kind of like Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop.

I think that you are taking a risk wearing jeans to a professional interview, but as long as you dress them up with heals and a nice top and accessories, I think that would be fine for a retail position! Good luck!
