Is this correct grammar – “to cook recipe”?

kalilajoyce: Is this correct grammar – “to cook recipe”?
I often hear on cooking programs on tv that they say “we are going to cook delicious recipe today”. My question is – how can u cook recipe? Should it not be “make something or cook OUT OF THE recipe”?
English is my secong language that’s why I am not sure if it’s correct. It sounds incorrect to me though.

Just put the word A in. “We are going to cook A delicious recipe today”.

you can say to cook recipe

Though it doesn’t sound logical that’s the way the cookie crumbles. To say “we are going to cook a delicious recipe today” is acceptable.
