beth ann: Is there any place besides “Locks of Love” that I could donate hair?
I have really rather long hair and I would love to donate it to a cause like making wigs for cancer patients because I think that is wonderful. However my hair has been color treated in the past and therefore I cannot donate it to “Locks of Love”. Do you know of any other organizations that I could donate my hair to? Keep in mind, my hair has been colored and permed many times, and does have some highlights in it now, but it is still in good shape. Thanks!

You are really nice to donate your hair! I have alapeciareota(idk how to spell it) which is a hair loss disease and i get hair from there. You can go to your local hair cut place and ask if they can give it to locks of love! Hope that helps! God Bless.
I think what you are offering to do is terrifc! Ask your beautician where you might send it or if they know of any place you could contact.
I would also contact the social worker(s) at any Hospital that does Cancer treatments/research and they will be able to lead you to the right people.
