Robert C: Is there a way to adjust settings in order to reduce unwanted spam mail?
In the last few months have been receiving many more than usual spam mail. Also some spam
pours over to my regular mail, which never happened before. Is there any possible way to
reduce the amount of spam without changing my internet address, which I prefer not to do.

On your inbox page upper right
Options> Mail/More Options > Spam

Go thru the options you have there.

Never open spam email you’ll just get more of it.

I read in an article last week that 80% of all email is spam.

I also tell friends not to include my address in those big bulk address FWD FWD emails that eventually end up in the wrong hands.
They think they are your friends by sending you this “pass it on” stuff’, but they are putting you at risk. And those email are often embedded w/ things you cannot see. They pass on viruses in a contagious manner too.

No. You can’t really successfully stop or slow it down. Even Bill Gates is swamped with spam on his account.
