How can I stop illegal spam from accessing my contact list?

MILT: How can I stop illegal spam from accessing my contact list?
I am constantly monitoring my emails and have antivirus, antimaleware software in place, but within the past 3 days, my contact list was compromised and accessed and spam emails are being sent to my address book contacts. How can I stop this from continuing? So far, most of my contacts have received 2-3 spam emails, without my knowledge.

If you figure that one out, let me know. I have the same problem. I’m thinking I may just have to stop using Yahoo! Mail and go to gmail or something.
