Damian: Is there a cheap motel in the dorchester boston area where i can just go and sleep?
I don’t need a fancy room or hotel. Just a cheap motel room where I can check in, go to sleep, and check out for an inexpensive night of sleep.

There are a couple on Morrissey Blvd but the subway is a 15-20 minute walk. There is also one a couple of minutes’ walk from Columbia-JFK-UMass subway station which is deemed to be in South Boston but actually is at the Dorchester line.Answer by PennyLeeD2
Try Priceline. Bid ridiculously low and you might get lucky. Their South Boston area is really Dorchester. Or Hotwire. Last minute deals are amazing. Try here for instructions and other winning bids. https://biddingfortravel.yuku.com/forums/53/t/Massachusetts-Boston.html
The Holiday Inn Express near the South Bay Shopping Center is very reasonable for the area. You can walk to the shopping center for a shuttle to Andrew Station on the Red Line. The Ramada on Morrissey Blvd. ought to be real cheap, it’s on the edge of a rough spot. The Doubletree Bayside is a bit more expensive, but pretty new and has free cookies.
For just a bed without frills, you might try the Carruth House in Ashmont.
