Lone Dissenter just visiting: Is the trinity a puzzle and buried in an enigma?
A puzzle, for the Trinity is so clearly contrary to any rational thought as not to warrant a second thought from sensible people. An enigma, for even if the Trinity could be understood, of what practical value, even what religious value, would it have ?

THE TRINITY IS ALIVE AND VERY WELL.
More real than you or I will ever be.Answer by d j
Trinity is fairly rational…don’t call it a puzzle just because you fail to understand it.
You are also one person with multiple roles…like one person can be a father, brother and son at the same time.
Practically speaking think of what Father does- Create, care, teach, discipline, love, protect.
He forgives.
Brother- Affectionate, supports, guides and companionship.
Son- Revers, loves , respects….and so on.Answer by Karl Hartman
No. It’s an invention of the Catholic Church that was argued about for over nearly 800 years before becoming official dogma. They had to do something to explain why God is only referred to twice as a single being in the bible, and then we have the Holy Spirit and Jesus. If you are still Catholic, Mother Mary is nearly Equal to Jesus and will of course receive all your prayers and pass them on.
The trinity doctrine began with the acceptance of one form of Christianity over others and the agreement that Jesus Christ was divine. The old Testament tells us that there are none next to God. None shall pass judgment but God. What could they do? Jesus had to be God as well in order to make the new religion fly. The Divinity of Jesus was established in 325 CE at the Council of Nicea in the Apostle’s Creed. In 381 AD, Emperor Theodosius (a Trinitarian) convened a council in Constantinople. Only Trinitarian bishops were invited to attend. 150 bishops attended and voted to alter the Nicene creed to include the Holy Spirit as a part of the Godhead. The Trinity doctrine was now official for both the church and the state.
Answer by JohnnyIt’s the style of Christendom’s churches to play games with the minds of their followers. And puzzles are games. Yes dogma and False doctrine are the games they play to baffle their flock.
They have No value. The truth is what true Christians teach.
Jesus doesn’t play games. He said in no uncertain terms, the following at Matthew 7:21-23…
(Matthew 7:21-23) “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my FATHER who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew You! Get away from me, You workers of lawlessness.”
Jesus came to do the will of His Father Jehovah. It’s important that we really listen to His teachings.

Don’t take away God’s Gift. The Bible says at John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”
We commemorate that ransom sacrifice every year on Nisan 14. This year that date is April 17. All are welcome to attend.
Answer by conundrumThe number ONE in the bible does not make sense to a great many people.
For instance if one said that there were Two Messiahs in Christ day representing God, we would be laughed at.
Yet when Jesus utters the words at John 17:3, it is totally misunderstood.
l tell you, people just cannot see the Forest from the Trees.
Get a load of this example:
**
Satan asked Jesus to do an act of worship to him, and Jesus pointed out that it is ONLY God who should be worshiped. Was Jesus correct in saying that, or was he merely say ” I am God, but in human form, so Satan you should be worshiping my counterpart since l am flesh at present, when l get back to heaven- then you can worship me- but right now you ought to turn your attention to the Father while l walk this earth… ok?”
