Rollie H: Is it unacceptable to report noisy customers at a motel?
I reported people yelling and screaming at the motel where I’m staying. The motel staff stopped them. Now I get cold stares from the people i reported. They call me “motel boy”.

No, their behavior is unacceptable. You did the right thing.

Eff ’em, you paid money to have a relaxing place to sleep. If they backtalk again just order a bunch of pizzas to their room.Answer by J-Dawn
It’s perfectly acceptable. You’re staying in the motel too. It’s common decency to keep the feelings of others in consideration and when a person being loud late at night, they’re not doing that. They’re just steamed that they got busted. You did the right thing.Answer by vincentv247
Unfortunately, that’s the reality we often have to deal with when other people think they can live out their selfish disregard for fellow human beings. Ignore them, you have better things to do.Answer by Rusty
The only ones it was unacceptable to were the noisemakers. Ask the management to move you to a different room, somewhere you won’t be likely to run into the troublemakers.Answer by Dwners
1:-It is your right to complain.
If you were annoyed by thier racket, no doubt, other people at the motel were too.
2:-They gave you the cold stare and called you names because they are immature and have no respect for others.

You did the right thing, you needed your sleep.
Hotels are there for everyone to get a good night’s rest.
What they did was rude, and they should have been considerate to those around them, especially in a hotel setting.
Take the high road and ignore them.
