Tasha: Is it safe to have an orgasm due to clitoral stimulation three weeks after an episiotomy?
This is a question I would rather not ask my male doctor– NOW I KNOW WHAT THEY MEANT BY WOMEN’S SUFFERAGE!
This is a questions I would rather not ask my male doctor– I have read that any extra blood coming to the site of the wound helps healing (which is what happens when you have an orgasm)… Also, when you exercize those muscles down there, you also restore good muscle tone. Does anybody disagree?

I didn’t have one, but i don’t know why not. Any contractions should be inside and not affect the healing area.

yes, it is safe as long as you don’t have any pain. You are supposed to wait to have intercourse so that you can heal. Stimulation without penetration will not affect the areas that are healing. So… go for it, have fun.
By the way… you shouldn’t feel embarrassed asking your doctor about that. They are used to hearing everything and he will be very professional with the answer.
Referring to your “Additional Details”:
The theory about more blood to the site assisting healing sounds right, I’m not sure about that, but it couldn’t hurt.
More importantly, we have needs and if you feel that you need to satisfy those needs, then you should. Just be cautious while you are healing.
As far as muscle tone… the muscles down there will heal and they will return to normal on their own. Just as any other muscle, regular exercise will help… but again, be cautious and don’t overdo it while you are healing.
Good luck to you.
It is very safe. Orgasms are actually very calming, relaxing, and help your body and mind.
Orgasms always help my menstrual cramps, for example.
Answer by EveHaving orgasms will heal and help. But HOW you get them is the concern. Don’t do anything too crazy!Answer by patti_felz
if it doesn’t hurt then its fine. anyway, after 3 to 4 weeks sex should be ok too.
