unico_nocturno: Is it possible to restore a clitoris that has been mutilated by female circumcision?
I thought about the sex change operations that make a man into a woman, and wondered, if a man can be given a clitoris, why can’t a woman that has been mutilated by this barbaric procedure, have hers restored?
If it was restored, would she have full feeling and sensitivity?

They did it in Nip/Tuck, so why not lol.
Yes, it is possible. The clitoris is actually fairly long- it extends further than its external appearance suggests. It is possible to surgically remove the damaged part part and bring an undamaged section to the surface. The sensation is not exactly the same, but it’s pleasurable sensation.Answer by Diane
It’s certainly possible for many victims, although it would depend on the extent of the mutilation. Interesting that you should mention ‘sex change operations’; one of the leading gender surgeons in the US – Marci Bowers – is also one of the leaders in this particular procedure.
Here’s a Newsweek article that you might find interesting;
And BTW; ‘sex change operations’ DON’T ‘make a man into a woman’, neither do they ‘give a man a clitoris’. Transsexual women are not, and never were, men.
Answer by ConnorFemale genital mutilation is the type that removes part or all of the clitoris, not female circumcision.
Also no one would ever concider a sex change opperation if they weren’t truly a transexual, also for a sex change operation they take the genitals you have and then surgicly alter them to match the genitals of the other sex, for a female to make this would cost around $ 80,000+, also unless you are an actual transexual no one is going to give you a sex change because of the process you have to go through. And since they use your pre-existing genitals to make the male genitals you really aren’t getting yourseld anywhere now are you?
Men don’t have clitorises, only women do, men aren’t given them for sex change operations, again they use the existing genitals you have and surgicly alter them, you obviously havent done much research on the topic. Men who change into women have their penis cut and flipped inside out for form the vagina, the clitoris is made from the head of the penis and those nerve endings there. You can’t just cut a clitoris off someone else and sew it on another person because it would have no feeling and it would be exceedingly difficult to get a good blood flow going to it.
You can’t restore a clitoris, just like you can’t fully restore a foreskin or any other body part. What’s gone is gone.
