Johnny Relentless: Is it legal for Seminole Casino to ask medical info on job app?
Is it legal to make job applicants sign a release to investigate their medical history? This sounds illegal. The Seminole Casino in South Florida is doing that to prospective employees.
I bartended in Vegas for 5 years, and although there were extensive background checks, I don’t remember ever having to let them know my medical history. It seems like an invasion of privacy. What does my medical history have to do with anything?

It’s pretty standard operating procedure for all major casinos in the United States. Casinos are very highly regulated with high government oversight, plus they deal with lots of cash. You would want a full background check on anyone who works for the casino.
