Xyz: Is it illegal to attack a spammer’s computers?
Illegal or not, it’s certainly tempting. What about finding out where they live and burning the place down – surely that should be permitted in law? Your thoughts?
Too many moralistic answers, not enough sense of fun so far – this may have to get put to the vote as I can’t pick a best answer yet.

Answer by OoopsJust as illegal as killing a murderer. Despite the temptation it’s much better not to lower ourselves to their level.Answer by Jodyanne
Just because someone has done you wrong do you think that 2 wrongs ever made a right? Being revengeful never helped anyone. It just basically adds to your own stress which affects your health. I do not think this a good idea at all. Put yourself in somebody else’s shoes for one minute and think about it. If you were this person would you want your house burnt down or something worse? I know I would not. I know this person deserves to go to jail and the law should be protecting people from this by doing so. I know it is tempting, but you are the better person not taking revenge as an action.Answer by thankyoumaskedman
Besides the illegality of doing it even if you have found the actual spammer, keep in mind that the spam may have forged addresses. Sometimes spammers register their domains with the name and address of their identity theft victims.Answer by Arnold Matthews
Illegal and morally indefensible. And with 90% of spam sent through compromised computers, the chances of getting the real scammer would be low.
