Raymond Wilkinson: Is it a form of corruption if Macdonalds has a police parking spot?
Or if a coffee shop gives a discount for police? Is that morally acceptable? What is the justification for such? How come charity workers don’t get special parking?

If society decides to be reverent and provide assistance and acceptance to justice keepers, i say let it be done. No. No. Yes. They deal with the scum of the earth on a daily basis. Cause they are charity workers which means they are part time unlike police.Answer by Liberty or Death
Because they risk their lives on duty, most cops are good and would take a bullet for you. People in the military also get discounts for the exact same reason, although their perks are much greater (because their lives are in greater risk)
Charity workers don’t risk their lives and therefore don’t deserve perks.
Answer by Captain SnarkyThe police are going to be the ones patrolling by McDonald’s at 2am when only the sketchy are out. If there’s a robbery at your store, the police are going to be the ones to respond and possiblyget shot at. Charity workers don’t do anything to put themselves on the line for the coffee shop – they get no special parking spot or discount.Answer by Dianna
police should get free meals and stuff. McDonald’s gives free meals to police as the police presence at the place deters crime. Police are not going to turn their head on criminal activities for a sandwich or cup of coffee.
McDonald’s can’t give everyone free meals but police get free meals because they risk their lives every day and their presence at a store deters criminals.
