Superfluous: Is Gymnastics the only discipline where I can learn acrobatics and be strong and hold my body tight?
What’s another alternative to gymnastics that offers the same results or even better?

Martial arts. Almost any of them… Look them up in your area and get into a class (great stress relief as well)

I do pole dancing – have learnt some really fun tricks, and have really benefited from the strength building especially for core muscles.
I know there’s still a lot of sexual connotation with pole dancing, but I do it with a group of really fun, down-to-earth girls (no boys allowed!), so I don’t see any problems there. The classes are just so fun, everyone’s so encouraging and you really build up your skills quickly.
Only drawback is the occaisional injury – I’m stuck home this week end recovering from a dislocated shoulder 🙁Answer by Mackenziee Rose.
