WuzUp?: Is any vessel in international waters subject to boarding and killing of passengers by countries like Israel?
Who is on the list of countries with the right to board ships in international waters and kill passengers at will? Perhaps only Israel has that right?
Somali citizens have been known to board ships in International waters, but they have not killed anyone and the “pirates” as they are called have been prosecuted. The US does it in the Perisan Gulf, but has not killed the crew.

Not ANY vessel. Only ones that are trying to run blockades. The blockade is considered “legal” by the UN, therefore Israel was completely within her rights to board that ship.

not all, only good countries like usa, israel, britain, france….ect. the ship did not comply, bottom line, if a unknown ship was 17 miles near new york, does the usa have the right to tell them to stop, they will be inspected? of course

The U S declared war on the U K [war of 1812] for just that reason However the Brits were removing anyone they wanted In the peace treaty both the U S and the U K reserved the right to stop and inspect any ship heading to their respective country

The passengers were armed and assaulted the Israelis not to mention they were attempting to violate an embargo. Your assumption is that any one can assault Israeli’s without fear of retaliation?

I Personally think that is piracy.

If they wanted to do it right, Israel should wait until they entry their territorial waters. In international Waters any boat or vessel is subject to the laws of the country of the flag they hold. So, in my opinion, if they had captured the Israeli soldiers and got back to Turkey. The soldiers would be arrested and judged by Turkish laws of piracy.

I wonder what would they do if the flag was from Iran or any other country under the sharia laws?? (they would lose their hands for sure)
