Kelrose.: Is a pediatrician notified when a teenager under their care has an abortion?
I’m researching Prop 4 [California’s prop to make parental consent for minor’s abortions] and I think this is important to my opinion of it.
I highly doubt that they are because in Lila Rose’s video she was told to use fake information at Planned Parenthood.
What if a teenager has serious medical issues? Allergies? Complications after?
Does anyone know?

The patient does have to list a name of whom to contact in case of emergency as is the case with all admission forms.
No. Unless the state in which she is receiving the abortion requires parental notification or consent, no one will be told that she has had the procedure.
She will be asked, both on paper and in person, whether or not she has any allergies or medical issues.
I’m not sure what “Lila’s Rose’s video” is.
Answer by EC ExpertNo, unless the patient gives consent. They are asked for an Emergency Contact but it is usually not the pediatrician and does not have to be the parent unless the state has a Parental Notification law.Answer by amazon_warrior_98
As far as I know, all states have parental notification laws.
I’ve seen the video you’re referring to, and it SICKENS me that Planned Parenthood does this, because they are breaking a FEDERAL law.
Though this doesn’t always happen, in fact it RARELY happens, if at all, any doctor should know EVERYTHING about a patient’s medical history. If ANYTHING is left out of their patient’s medical history, it can make a big difference in future treatments, and a woman who has had an abortion in the past can have problems with a future pregnancy that she chooses to take to term. If this isn’t revealed to her doctor, it can become very unsafe for both mother and child!
Not that abortion isn’t unsafe, anyway. There have been 50 million murders of the unborn since 1973, just here in the US, and for the mother, abortion is 4X deadlier than childbirth, and that’s just on the table! That doesn’t even take into account the rise in suicide rates, which for teenage girls DOUBLES.
