In Financial Reports is profit on ordinary activities the same as profit before taxation?

Reviewing the financial reports of a company and it doesn’t state what the profit on ordinary activities actually is!
Is it the same as profit before Taxation?
If not is there a way I can work out how to calculate it?

Sounds the same. Also called Operating profit. Or profit before extra ordinary items. If you know the profit after tax and the tax bracket, you can calculate the operating profit.
