At 16, with no work experience, your options are limited. Get off your high horse and get a job anywhere you can (even a fast food place), work there for a year so you can gain some experience (customer service, interacting with customers, cash register, food prep, etc), and then after you have some experience under your belt you can pick and chose where you wanna work. Tough it out, we’ve all had to.Answer by Joseph C
Supermarkets, Retail Store (Sear, JC Penney), If you have a mall nearby, a toy store, a shoe store.Answer by Heather
Maybe a grocery store? I think they pay cashiers/baggers pretty well and they definitely hire young people. Alternatively …perhaps waiting tables, although some of the jobs can be difficult to get into. I had a friend who worked at Bertucci’s in high school and she needed to memorize the entire menu and pass a test like the SAT (like, math problems)!Answer by LeanneB
Keep applieing at grocery stores, and maybe try some retail (clothing or department) stores altho now they prolly hired alot of there seasonal workers full time and things are slow for them, but really when it comes down to it its very hard to not get a fast food or restaraunt related job cuz they will hire just about anyone almost any time. and your guarranteed way more hours than a non-food job. cuz people love fast food all the time any time. my first job was fast food at burgerville and my 2nd job was retail. i liked the retail job better but would rather had the fast food job cuz it gave me more money.Answer by Katie
grocery stores, department stores, clothing stores, book stores, any place really is an option

I’m so tired of young teens with experience saying “I don’t want to work at fast food” Like the above person said get off your high horse. I you need a job that bad you will apply everywhere and anywhere that hires 16. Since you are 16 jobs are very limited so you can’t be picky.Answer by Grazina
