shuhei: If you’ve inadvertently sent your real pictures, name, email address & address to a scammer, are u in danger?
I was so stupid I believed in a friend I met online, so I sent her all my information, including my pictures too. I’ve just found out that this person is a con artist and a scammer, trying to get us to pay some money. Am I in danger of identity theft, for example, or any other dangers?

Yes, you are
Call the police.
I hope you didnt give a birth date
They could make photo ID’s
Passports
If you gave them your password
Change it immediately ( however this is probably the least thing you should be worried about )
I dont know what country youre in but search like this == with your country name–and find out who to contact..

Save every bit of evidence that you have
Answer by Lyn GYes, you are! Those people are criminals, looking for personal information to hijack and steal your E-mail account, and steal your identity. Any money that they can get is certainly an extra bonus for them. Immediately change your password. If you gave them any more information such as Banking account information, call your bank and tell them what happened, so they can close that account and open a new one with a different account number, or your credit card number, call the company so you can close the account and have it reissued with a different account number. You will need to watch carefully for a long time, any accounts, bank, credit card, etc., for any purchases, added accounts, or changes to your accounts. Get your credit reports and watch them carefully. if they have this much information, I think you should also make out a police report about it.
And for your E-mail safety, remember:
Do not ever open E-mail from people you do not know; and unless you are absolutely sure who it is from then treat them as spam.
Opening spam alerts the sender that your address is a valid one and they send you loads and loads more of it to you.
Never, ever give out your personal information to anyone, for any reason, whether by E-mail, snail mail, phone call, or at your front door.
And do not ever send money, checks or money orders to; or cash checks, money orders for any one – ever.
