You owe them rent as long as they own the house, you will be paying the bank after that.
You owe the rent and must pay it. You have no legal right to withhold the moneyAnswer by Gaytheist Buddha
You have a sheister landlord and you are still responsible for the rent.
You COULD refuse to pay and it will take him several months to evict you. But since he’s already proven to be a sheister by not paying his mortgage (your rent should cover most or all of the mortgage) he may start to do rotten things to you.
Answer by haloyou do not pay any landlord once repo-has been placed. you can legallly contact the repo-company-etc bank copany-house . take advise from solicotorAnswer by Veritas
The bank will not be your landlord. You will get an eviction notice. The owner scammed you for the money that he wasn’t paying the bank. Happens all the time. Call an attorney versed in tenant-landlord disputes ( call is free) and ask him how long you can live there. I think it is three months…it used to be 30 days.Answer by kemperk
my peers are correct; the Landlord’s weak financial position does not impact negatively,
your contract with him/her.
ONE way to be sure that your position is safe, is to escrow the money and if you get sued
for rent, go to court and explain to the judge that you are unsure who owns the building.
THEN prove you escrowed the rent $ and be prepared to write a check out [or have cash]
right there in the court…
The owner is still due rent.
While you live there you have to pay, and until the date of repossession it is the landlords house, and you still have a very valid and legally enforceable contract to pay rent.
